M. d'Roubaix is the family name and pen name for Dr. Melvin Droubay, a Professional Geographer. Dr. Droubay has lived in and worked with Latin America for over 40 years, starting in Argentina in the 1960's. He now lives in Costa Rica. He has taught at Universities in Oregon, Texas, Florida and Guatemala, has been a Consultant to the World Bank, the Government of Guatemala, and a Contractor to the U.S. Agency for International Development. He has also been a U.S. Foreign Service Reserve Officer serving in Guatemala. Most recently, he has worked as a researcher and consultant to various U.S.law firms fighting environment pollution by multi-national corporations. The Movin' Money series recounts some of his personal experiences during the 1980's War on Communism which was a central portion of the Reagan Presidency. The series is written in Documentary Fiction form. Based on now public documents as well as extensive documentation from investigations, trials, internal audits of U.S. Government agencies, as well as extensive news reports from the period, the background is factual, with names, events and places undisguised. The principal characters are fictional, amalamations of real people Dr. Droubay has known personally, some living, most dead. I'm a writer, journalist, filmmaker, event producer and counterculture and cannabis activist. I was the first journalist to travel to the South Bronx and document the origins of hip hop. In 1988, I was hired as editor of High Times magazine. I created the Cannabis Cup, a cannabis awards ceremony held every Thanksgiving in Amsterdam, and The Freedom Fighters, the first hemp legalization group. I also created a garage-rock revival band called the Soul Assassins. In 2002 I directed the video shoot that was later released as Live in Amsterdam (Fishbone album). In 2004, I wrote most of the narration for a/k/a Tommy Chong and also appear in the film. My most recent hardback book, The Octopus Conspiracy and Other Vignettes of the Counterculture, was published by Trine Day. Most of my eBooks are available exclusively through smashwords. I also regularly appear at college campuses, sometimes solo, but usually as part of a debate on the legalization of cannabis, alongside former New York City D.E.A. chief Robert Stutman. The event, known as "Heads versus Feds," began in 2001 and has visited more than 200 colleges in ten years, regularly drawing standing-room crowds. Bob and I are known as "The Ultimate Odd Couple," and have become close friends despite the cultural gap between us. The debate is booked by Wolfman Productions in Connecticut.

Larry R. Bradley is a native of Missouri. He began his adult work life by accompanying his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Missouri State University with a commission as a Regular Army Infantry Officer. During his Army career, Larry also earned an MBA in Management from the University of Tennessee. I am a native of Childress, Texas and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma's H. H. Herbert School of Journalism with a BA in Radio/TV/Film. I have worked in television production and taught Television and Film Production at Oklahoma City University while managing that school's television station. I've worked in industrial films for the Texas Cattle Feeders Association, and for the National Cattlemen's Association. I published the Chillicothe (Texas) Valley News in the 1970s, served as Managing Editor of the Moore (Oklahoma) Monitor in the 1980s and published the Sentinel (Oklahoma) Leader in the 1990s. I've written three books, two of which are in ebook form at Smashwords, "Dismantling The Republic" and "Unto The Churches of Galatia: A Commentary on Paul's Epistle To The Galatians." The third, "...Unto Thy People: The Story of Our Fathers" is a family history that was published in paper back in 2003. I have also co-authored a book, entitled, "The Old Porter Place" which is a nostalgic collection of more than 50 brief true stories from the childhood of my cousin and me while we were growing up in western Oklahoma in the 1940s and 50s. "The Old Porter Place" is now available on Smashwords also. I am married to the former Sherlene Holley of Carter, Oklahoma. We were married in her parents' home in Carter on May 19, 1961. We have six children, 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four of our six children have taught, or are currently teaching at the University of Oklahoma, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and the University of North Texas.
