Kostenloses Ebook mit Erlaeuterungen zur Astrologie | by Eckhart Landes May 11, 2011 | Free! | 1887 words | Read a sample |

Movies Worth Watching | by Les Broad Sep. 30, 2011 | Free! | 4038 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: That picture isn't me. It's my much-loved Border Collie bitch, who I lost to a spinal tumour in April 2011. She deserves this memorial. I was born a very, very long time ago, very close to my mother in England. Now I live in Wales, which isn't England but is part of the UK. I've written all sorts of stuff, but mostly science fiction. It's sort of believable sci-fi - maybe it can't happen today, but might tomorrow, you know? The sci-fi novels are all on the theme of 'first contact' and the first one is being given away free. You'll have to pay for the others. Sorry. I've got other novels, short stories and things that are supposed to be funny too but whether they are is your decision, right? Some of the books are based on real incidents - I know they are, because they happened to me. There are five in total, I've released two, two are being tidied up and the last one won't be finished for a while yet. If you read one, remember it all happened to me and that I don't mind being laughed at. I'm used to it. A while back I released a free book, 'Top Of The Shop'. (If you're a writer you might want to read it. I'll say no more.) I've since released another one, 'Tea, Drums And Speed'. So now the first sci-fi novel is free, 'Top Of The Shop' is free, and there's a free volume of short stories. I must be mad, giving this stuff away. Mind you, it hasn't stopped me giving away a book of political thoughts. If you're from Wales, or British, or even interested in Welsh politics, it might be worth reading. There's also a free book about some films that appeal to me. You might find it interesting but I thought it would be a bit cheeky to want money for it. Have it on me. There's one little thing I don't understand. Of everything I've put on this site, I think the stories in 'Swift Shifts' are the funniest, yet it's the title that's looked at least often. Why is that, do you think? After a gap of several months I've now added a new three-story volume of funny stories. To balance this, there's a thoroughly miserrable one on its way! A word or two about my pricing strategy might be worthwhile. A lot of people on this site (and I apologise if I've got this wrong) quote prices that are just a bit cheaper than you'd see in a bookstore. I don't do that. Ebooks don't have production or distribution costs, so why should you, the book buyer, have to pay even a tiny share of something that doesn't exist? Isn't it better to spend, say, $3 on three little books than on just one? I want you to enjoy what I've written, and at a realistic cost to you that I can live with. Simple, isn't it? I'll add to this from time to time - there's no point saying everything at once, is there? You'd have no need to come back, would you? |

I have three grown up children but have never quite managed to grow up myself. At the age of eighteen, I was often mistaken for pop idol, Donny Osmond. Nearly four decades on and ravaged by time, the best I can now do in the look-a-like stakes is Richard Osman from BBC TV's Pointless. Osmond to Osman, how the mighty fall. Chimpanzees in Dungarees is my first published book. I can imagine there's already more than a few, hoping it's the last. |

Early prize-winning writer (prize U.N.S.L, 1974) born in Argentina, during many years standing aside from literary activity, began this century with a copious production and is recovering from past silences. He likes to read, loves dogs and a good glass of wine -in addition to his family and friends. At present, he spends his time writing and cupping specialty coffees. The author’s voice skirts the limits of poetry, brief tales, and micro essays. With humor, irony or passion, he does not intend to teach anything; just provoke at most. His colloquial register recalls a conversation among friends, deploying a unique style, with distant accents of the River Plate region. |

Ho ammazzato la balena | by Alex Malex July 21, 2011 | Free! | 26003 words | Read a sample |

We brain wash you without your consent. God's manual for the media. | by Free From Bondage Ministry Oct. 21, 2010 | Free! | 11692 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Free From Bondage Ministry was started just a few short years ago. As a newly ordained minister, I felt that too many people were tinkering around with God's Word. Translating it into what made them comfortable, rather than how God's Word could help them be accountable and truly righteous. And the stakes are too high to be tinkering. It is your eternal life you are gambling with. Because there is a distinct difference between saying to believe in God, and acting as a believer in God. And that difference could make all the difference for your salvation. The message from Free From Bondage Ministry is simple, yet not easy. But we have seen "miracles" that even many with a strong faith discard as "impossible". Which made us aware that the message we got from God needed to be brought to a bigger public. Hence these books. There is more information available at our website: www.freefrombondage.weebly.com And yes, we are a very small ministry. No bells and whistles, no fancy stuff. We use what comes our way to spread God's Word. So referrals are highly appreciated. May God bless you, Free From Bondage Ministry. |

Bookstore Lore: The Stupidest Questions Ever Asked in a Bookstore | by Tom Lichtenberg June 22, 2010 | Free! | 4476 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I write books across a lot of different genres and styles. I've got some sci-fi, some mystery, some satire, some young adult, a little kids' book, and some just plain old-fashioned stories. Most are short and easy to read, are sometimes funny and often feature unexpected endings. Some of my books are related to each other, sharing characters, locales and plots. Snapdragon Alley, Freak City and Dragon Town comprise "The Dragon City Trilogy" The "All Geeked Up" collection includes World Weary Avengers, Ledman Pickup, and In Constant Contact "The Secret Trilogy" is 'Chaos Fiction' and includes Squatter with a Lexus, Secret Sidewalk, and Hidden Highway "Rays and Nights" is a collection of cross-genre stories that share certain characters, and includes the faux-horror Zombie Nights, the sci-fi Death Ray Butterfly and the coming-of age stories of Raisinheart Fissure Monroe features the intrepid private eye, Dawn Debris. Missy Tonight follows Orange Car with Stripes in these stories of Atheist Comic Sci-Fi Pulp Fiction. Golden is a screenplay based on Time Zone. Jimmyland is a screenplay based on Phantom of the Mall. Inspector Mole pops up all over the place. If you like one, chances are you'll like another, and if you don't, well, thanks for giving it a try! |

Khaki Pants - A Vacation Story | by Chris Stralyn Jan. 27, 2012 | Free! | 2846 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Chris Stralyn never intended to be a writer. Short-order cook, security guard, safety officer, childcare provider, and teacher were all titles she’d worn – but never writer. Then she entered an essay contest for “The Worst Vacation Ever†and won. Writing became her new hobby, and soon she had several articles in print with local publications. This was followed by a short story, The Khaki Pants, which was published by RDR Publishing in an anthology that went on to sell over a million copies. A suspense thriller was her next undertaking, and in 2008 This Time You Lose was named a finalist in the TNBW Strongest Start Novel Competition. Four months later it earned the distinction of being a TNBW Readers Choice Top Ten Novel, and has remained on the Top Ten list ever since. Chris Stralyn continues to put pen to paper in her endeavour to appease the Muse within. She lives in Michigan with her husband and family. |
