Intro
I'm so happy that you're reading this book. It is a great thing to know that you believe in purpose. If you don't, we seek to change that before the end of this book.
I decided to write this small book for two reasons. One is so that you can know who I am and who it is that's encouraging you. We are all on the grind in some way trying to make things happen in this life. That’s fine, but even the strongest of strong need encouraging at some point in their press.
My second reason is simply because I love to write just as much as I love to encourage. I wanted to share my heart with you. This is a great part of what I am purposed to do, so I would love nothing better than to share my thoughts with you.
Before we get started let me say that I applaud your efforts of getting out there and doing what works for you in this place we live. I want your press to be worth it, however. We're all working toward something and I know that it's not always easy.

times and time consuming. It is for me just like it is for most. There is a bit of a difference between the person that is grinding and hates it and one who has peace about it. A number have peace about what they're doing but most don’t. This fact makes it not worth it.
I happen to know my purpose and I can see so many things without it being physically in my face. There are some of us, however, that are still trying to figure out if what they bring to the table is purpose enough. Well, it is.
Knowing that you have great purpose sometimes requires a lot of believing to get things done and moving in your life. Believe me, you are not the only one that has thought about giving up or not trying at all just to dodge failure.
That is what PurposeFull You is all about. In this work, I will attempt to share some things to help your having peace about who you are and what you are to do in life. It's not always easy to believe in yourself as having something great to do, but allow me to believe in you on your behave. One day, not many days from now, you will believe too. Peace.

Great
Purpose
There are many types of people in this world. There are those who know why they are here. Those who think they know why they are here. Many who wonder why they are here. And of course, there are those who have no clue why they are here and really don’t care.
Up until a few months ago I was one of those who thought I knew, but I wasn’t quite sure. I knew things about me that seem to lead towards my reason for being here on earth, but I was yet trying to put the pieces together. It wasn’t really that hard to figure out. Because of views that were set forth by others, religious or otherwise, I was looking beyond who I already was. Trying to look for something that looked different; something realistic.
The reality was that I was looking at myself from what is called “a worldly perspective”. Like I was just another person, with some ability to do a few things, but there was nothing really special and I was just like the next person. Wrong! Not only was that perspective wrong but it was very hurtful to me as an

individual. I'd allowed other peoples views of me to sidetrack me; be crippling to me. I didn't see myself correctly; as My Creator saw me. I actually started to fall into the “I’m just a human” way of thinking.
I knew a few key factors that would make up my destiny but I had yet to take them seriously. It was mostly just talk about what I wanted to do, but never really understood the impact that would one day come with these abilities I brushed off. I was just Londa.
I knew that I liked to write. I also knew that I was at peace when others around me were uplifted, smiling, and just walking around at peace with themselves. At the time I didn’t think that my love for writing or my natural way of being was all that was needed to find my place. I was about to get a big awakening. These gifts were all I needed and they were more powerful than I thought.
2007 was one of the most trying years of my young life. I was spiritually thirsty but affection thirsty as well. Here I am, pregnant, again! I had come to the point of wanting to give up completely on everything. I was ashamed of myself and I thought that my life would be pointless from that point forward.
I'd stopped praying and I was just ready to call it quits. I had shut myself off from the outside world, especially church folks. I was ashamed.

During this time, I was beat down. I needed some hope. I needed to know that there was something for me because not even my babies gave me much comfort then.
With a little intervention I was brought back to myself, only slightly, but myself. I decided that I needed to pray. You know what I was made to realize then? That once Our Great Creator says something it will come to pass. No matter what things looks like, it will.
There were things in my heart once that drove me; that brought peace to me. The words came to me that I had purpose and that purpose is apart of what makes your heart beat.
The same goes for you. That desire that drives you. It's in your heart because it is in The Plan. Though you may not want to believe that there is a plan and just want to go with the flow. Well, that's okay too. It's according to your faith.
Nonetheless, at the lowest point in my life I began to know that I had purpose that no one else could fulfill for me. At a time when I thought little of myself, My Creator said “Shalonda, you have great purpose.” “I have plans for you.” Little by little I began to step back into my place of being the go to friend and confidant. I was then back in my element as

before and God slowly started lifting my “vision hinders”.
After that, I saw things like I had never seen them before. I then realized that motivating others, being an encouragement to others, giving to others, sharing with others, etc. was just apart of who I was. I was to take that along with my many talents and be effective in this life. That, my friends, is my great purpose. And guess what………You have one too!
Let me give you an example of how we are. We often think that we're not good enough to do anything “important” or great. Let’s take an example from The Bible as a point of reference.
In the book of First Samuel chapter 9, it begins at the second part of verse 20 and if read to the end of verse 21 it will show a view of what I speak of. One would understand why this is the classic I’m-not-that-important-to-be-great or everybody-can't-be-great non-sense we have been programmed to believe about ourselves. Now Samuel was sent to anoint Saul to be king and though he thought little of himself, God knew different. How many of us have been told countless times that there is something big in us and we have failed to see it. What others have seen just seems too far-fetched. “A lawyer, yeah right! Me? Naw!” “A CEO, can't be!” “A best seller! 'Not I'”, said the doubter. “I can't do all that”, you think.

Now in chapter 10 and verse 24 of the same book, the words from Samuel sealed it. Saul’s Great Purpose was made final. Yes, even with your doubt in yourself, the One that created you already placed inside of you all that would be needed. The thought that you are not good enough could be used as humility, which is not such a bad thing. But, never let it be said that you are not enough for your position because you are.
There are so many stories and examples of those that have realized great purpose in their lives. Most of them, at first, couldn't fathom such paths. Then there are those who always knew they would be somebody special but didn't think that they would reach such heights.
Think about Oprah. Look at the heights from when you first saw her up to now. She speaks of her days working with the local news or a childhood of watching her elders churn butter.
Consider Tyler Perry who started out with a simple hope. He once lived in his car. He'd also lost all the money he saved putting on production that flopped, regrouped and kept believing he could.
What about President Obama? How about T.D. Jakes or Joel Osteen who, by the way, was content with being in the background of his fathers programming. Joel didn't have an issue with where he was purposed to be
