But it's fading.

In the beginning, I thought I imagined the movement – the quick flashes I spied out of the corner of my eyes. I couldn’t focus on them. They moved too fast.

No one else saw them.

No one saw what I see.

No one noticed the rip growing larger.

They started staying longer. Instead of a nanosecond, now they stayed for the blink of an eye. Not much longer, but more than before.
